"Sundara is the first spa in the world to achieve SpaExcellence certification, a new and rigorous quality assurance program founded by Julie Register of SpaQuality LLC in Delaware. Register began writing about spas about 10 years ago when she realized that there wasn't a common language to discuss and certify best practices for the spa industry. Criteria are formed around spa management, guest experiences, operations support, and improvements.
"Sundara's certification shows how high their interest level is in learning about what guests need and want in their spa experience," explains Register. "They are a totally guest-focused spa." Spas such as Sundara that achieve certification will have to reapply for their certifications annually, as standards are expected to be continually updated."
