On May 22, 2005, Linda Bankoski presented The Power of Three (3): How Your Spa Can Thrive Using Quality Management Principles at the Spa & Resort Expo & Conference / Medical Spa Expo & Conference at the Jacob Javitts Convention Center in New York City. She explored and defined the keys to successful spa management. Based on quality principles that have proven to help many types of organizations, this session was designed to help spa owners and managers identify practical steps take to improve profits and customer satisfaction. She focused on:

2005 International Esthetics, Cosmetics, and Spa Conference (IECSC) Business Summet Las Vegas
On April 30, 2005, Linda Bankoski presented The Power of Three (3): How Your Spa Can Thrive Using Quality Management Principles and on May 1, she presented The Cost of Quality at the International Esthetics, Cosmetics, and Spa Conference (IECSC) Business Summit in Las Vegas to over 250 enthusiastic attendees. In The Cost of Quality, Linda helped spa owners and managers identify current cost categories, calculate the ratio of investments to expenditures, identify resources, make cost-effective decisions, lead efforts to maximize resources and improve spa financial performance. She discussed the value of prevention vs. the cost of managing messes, the role of management vs. leadership, and decision-making by cost analysis. She focused on three things that spa owners and managers can use together to create healthier spa management systems:
- Identifying ways to maximize resources
- Management techniques that can improve spa performance
- Recognizing the importance of key management tools such as performance evaluations, procedure writing and measurement.
